lala land

So I’m thinking of joining the Twitter universe…

Not quite sure how I feel about it yet though. I onced jumped on the facebook bandwagon but fell off quickly and painfully, and I’m still healing from that fall. So to even think of twittering is a scary process, I’m uneasy about the amount of
information people can get from my life by just reading my blogs, looking at my
myspace and model mayhem profiles, and by the ever growing list of google
results (yes I’ve googled myself, who hasn’t? I’ve gotta keep track of what, or how much, of me exactly, is out there…eesh)

I’m not one for trends, but here I find myself already tending to a plethora of them, unknowingly:
Myspace, burlesque, pinup, blogging, tattoos, coffee, hidden platform
heels (love those things!)… So why not twitter too?

As for updates, I know, it’s been a while…....

Los Angeles and the Emerald Dollies mini-tour was so much fun, and crazy crazy! Hear are my notes from the trip:

*Monday Night Tease
was amazing, loved all the wonderful performers and the audience was so fun. We can’t wait to come do it again!

*We had the wonderful surprise of being invited to the Magic Castle (thank you Lili!) It is someplace I’ve always wanted to go but never had the privilege, and it exceeded my imaginary version of it in every way!

*We had a lovely photoshoot with Mila and Lulu had one with Mitzi at a carshow way out east of LA- By the way, traffic was wonderful *gag*- Last trip, I traffic was actually decent and I could see myself living with it everyday, but after this trip I'm not so sure anymore!

*The garment district IS heaven!! I love it more and more everytime I visit- of course it's a maze of fabric, sparkles, lace.. shoes! So I find myself exploring rather than conquering it- but in another trip or two I think I'll have it down and know all the best places.

*Thanks Tiff and Heather for the night at Cirque Bezerk (pic to come)- I'm glad we decided to go after all. And then bar hopping in Hollywood later- Burgundy Room is always a favorite.

*Thanks Lulu for the day in Disneyland (and Jenn, Case and Remy for coming along on the adventure!) Words cannot express my love for that place. It was a wonderful day.

*Disney held some crazies in it though. Like the threesome of people who were high off their asses on something. We watched as one girl plastered a map to her nose for 15 minutes and the couple licked each other, and the chocolate banana...

Also we had the cute family of four all in
matching chucks, except the poor little girl had a serious case of
saggy diaper butt... I'm sure we were a spectacle at times too though...

*Hootenanny
was not as bad as we were told, misery wise- because we were fortunate
enough to have a spot in the grassy shade. We got to meet a lot of
interesting people, see some beautiful cars and glimpses of the bands
in between running around.

and I met my "twin" there!

The trip was filled with adventure, a bit of drama, lots of laughter, a few tears, lack of sleep, sore feet, boy-o-boys, new friends, old friends, and tons of food!

It really was a great week.

Thank you Tiffany and Ambur for letting us take over your living space with all our shit!

Don't clean up the trail of glitter we left behind just yet...

...We’ll need it to find our way back in mid-September and November!

xoxo,
